United airlines is the world’s third largest commercial airline fleet. It is an American airline. It is currently the second largest airline in the United States till date. It’s headquarter is in Chicago, Illinois. It was formed in Boise, Idaho in 1926. United Airlines serve North America, Asia, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Europe.

COMPENSATION ON UNITED AIRLINES:

  • United Airlines are required to give you ‘standard of care’ i.e. free food and drinks, free transportation, telephone calls, hotel accommodations when needed, if your United Flight has been delayed and you departed from Canada or the US.

  • United Airlines will compensate you in terms of money, if your flight departed from the Canada or the EU and delayed for 3+ hours via United Airlines Compensation Policy .

  • “Standard of care” is a free service provided to you by United Airlines but you are not eligible to get that if your flight left from the United States.

  • If your flight left for Canada, you will get:

  • $400 CAD for delays between 3-6 hours.

  • $700 CAD for delays between 6-9 hours.

  • $1000 CAD for delays that are 9+ hours.

  • If your flight left for the EU, delayed for 4 hours and travelled distance over 3500 km, then you will get €600 in compensation.

  • If your flight was delayed between 3 to 4 hours with the same distance, you will get €300.
